DO YOU HAVE REGULARLY SCHEDULED FLIGHTS?
Ascent Air Charter is an "On Demand" Air Carrier and does not have regularly scheduled flights. We fly based on your schedule, departing and returning according to your needs. We can usually arrange a flight with very short notice, but its best to give us as much notice as you can.
WHAT CITIES DO YOU FLY TO?
Basically we can fly to any public use airport with hard surface runways anywhere in the 48 states. This is one of the main advantages of chartering an aircraft vs. going on commercial airlines. We are usually able to fly you to smaller airports much closer to your final destination.
HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU NEED TO SCHEDULE A CHARTER FLIGHT?
We can usually schedule a charter flight with about 4 hours notice (sometimes even less that 4 hours), but the more notice we have the easier it is to meet your schedule and needs.
HOW MANY PASSENGERS CAN YOU TAKE?
Our current aircraft carries the pilot and three passengers. There is also additional room for luggage and personal items.
CAN I BRING MY PET ABOARD THE AIRPLANE?
Yes. That is one of the main advantages to chartering an airplane. Your pet can fly with you in the cabin of the airplane. Of course, there may be some limitations regarding the type and size of the pet, but we will do everything we can to accommodate your pet.
HOW MUCH TIME BEFORE THE FLIGHT DO I NEED TO ARRIVE AT THE AIRPORT?
Its best to arrive about 30 minutes before the departure time. We will need to get the passengers and their luggage on board and review the safety briefing with the passengers. 30 minutes seems to work out about right.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CHARTER AN AIRPLANE?
There can be many variables in determining the cost of an airplane charter. Items such as which airport you want to go to (some airports charge landing fees, etc.), weather conditions, any layovers, and items such as these can affect the price of the charter. We are happy to provide a no obligation quote. Call us with the information about your travel needs and we will provide you a firm price for the airplane charter.
CAN YOU TRANSPORT ITEMS CLASSIFIED AS HAZARDOUS MATERIALS?
Yes. Ascent Air Charter is approved by the FAA to transport items of hazardous materials that are approved for transport by aircraft. The shipper is responsible for proper packaging and labeling and there are restrictions. Contact us and we will do everything we can to accommodate your needs.
CAN I SMOKE ON THE AIRPLANE?
No. Federal Aviation Regulations require all our flights to be non-smoking flights.
CAN WE BRING FOOD AND DRINKS ON BOARD THE AIRPLANE?
Yes. You can bring your own food and drink or we can provide basic catering at an additional cost. Drinks do not include alcoholic beverages which
are not permitted. Also, it is a violation of Federal Aviation Regulations for us to permit a passenger who appears to be intoxicated, to board the aircraft.
DO YOU PROVIDE GROUND TRANSPORTATION AT OUR DESTINATION?
Passengers are responsible for their own ground transportation but our pilot will be happy to assist you in arranging for ground transportation.
CAN I BRING FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION ABOARD THE AIRPLANE?
Yes, however, firearms and ammunition must be declared before you board. Firearms must be unloaded and ammunition must be placed at a separate location at the pilot's discretion.
ARE THE AIRPLANES EQUIPPED WITH RESTROOM FACILITIES?
No. The airplanes we use do not have restroom facilities but most flights are short enough that restrooms are not needed. For flights that are longer, there will be scheduled stops along the way for fuel and restroom breaks.
