WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO ON A TOUR?
It depends on the time of year. In the summer months we try and do most tours in the morning hours before it gets too hot. During fall, winter or spring we can usually fly from sunrise to sunset.
WHAT DAYS ARE YOU OPEN AND WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
We schedule tours Monday through Saturday including most holidays. Our hours are pretty much sunrise to sunset.
WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE AT THE AIRPORT?
Its best if you arrive 15 to 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time. That allows enough time to get the passengers on board the aircraft and review the safety information prior to takeoff.
WHAT INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO SCHEDULE A TOUR?
We need your name, contact information, how many passengers in your group, and which tour you are interested in.
HOW MANY PASSENGERS DOES THE AIRPLANE HOLD?
The airplane has four seats for the pilot and three passengers.
ARE THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PASSENGERS REQUIRED?
Prices for the tours are based on a three passenger minimum. We will still do the tour with less than three passengers, but the three passenger minimum price would apply. For example, the three passenger minimum price of the Kolob Canyons tour is $342.00 ($114.00 X three passengers). If only one passenger is going on the tour, that passenger would be charged $342.00. If two passengers are going each would be charged $171.50 and if three passengers are going, each would be charged $114.00. Unless you request otherwise, we will do our best to schedule three passengers on each tour so each person pays the lowest per passenger cost.
CAN I GO ON THE TOUR ALONE OR WILL THERE BE OTHER PASSENGERS ON BOARD?
We can take one passenger but the three person minimum price would apply. For example, the three passenger minimum price for the Kolob Canyons Air Tour is $297.00. If only one passenger is going on the tour, that passenger would be charged $297.00. Unless you request otherwise, we will do our best to schedule three passengers on each tour so each person pays the lowest per passenger cost.
DO I NEED A RESERVATION OR DO YOU ACCEPT PASSENGERS ON SHORT NOTICE?
We do not require a reservation and do accept passengers on short notice. However, It is best to call and book your tour in advance to ensure you get the time and tour you want. If needed, you can reschedule your tour and there is no charge for cancellations given to us 24 hours before your scheduled time.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
Be sure to bring you camera and make sure the batteries are charged. We provide you with a complimentary container of water. During the winter months if you are prone to getting cold, you may want to bring a coat and/or lightweight blanket.
WILL WE BE ABLE TO TALK TO EACH OTHER DURING THE TOUR?
Each passenger will have the use of a headset which will help eliminate the noise of the airplane and allow the pilot and passengers to talk to each other. You are not required to use the headset, but we believe the tour will be a much better experience if you do.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD AT THE TIME OF MY TOUR?
The weather can change quickly and safety is our primary concern. If we are unable to go on the tour because of weather conditions, we can reschedule the tour or give a full refund of any amount paid.
HOW DO WE GET TO THE HURRICANE CITY AIRPORT?
The Hurricane City Airport is located at 800 West 2300 South Hurricane, UT 84737. The easiest way to get here is to come into Hurricane on State Street (SR-9) until you get to 700 West. There is a Chevron station on the Southeast corner of State Street and 700 West. Turn southbound onto 700 West and follow 700 West for about 2 miles. You will go mostly through residential areas and will pass churches and schools. 700 West will come to an end at a tee intersection of 700 West and 2300 South. Turn right onto 2300 South and drive one block to 800 West. You will be at the airport gate.
CAN YOU PICK US UP AT OUR HOTEL AND TAKE US TO THE AIRPORT?
Yes. We offer pick-up service from local accommodation facilities (hotels, motels, vacation rentals, etc.) to bring you to the Hurricane Airport for your tour and return you when the tour is completed. There is no charge for this service.
SHOULD WE GIVE THE PILOT A GRATUITY?
Gratuities are certainly appreciated, but are not required or necessary. We appreciate being able to share this beautiful area with you.
